Charity Presentation

The picture shows club chairman Steve Geoghegan presenting a cheque for £123 to long serving member, Joan Wright.

Joan is a member of the charity 'Making Waves' which records tapes for two audio magazines, "Past Forward" and "Borough Life".

These are a lifeline for many partially sighted people.

There have been a number of fund raising events to provide new recording equipment for the organisation and the Bridge club was very pleased to support the charity.

The money was raised from table money and a raffle. Well done to all those taking part!
