How to deal more interesting duplicate hands
A study of card distributions of over 1300 hands at Witney Bridge Club has shown their quality is much improved by a simple and rapid procedure.
The cards in each slot of the duplicate boards be very lightly mixed at the end of an evening's play. One card is turned face up to show this has been done.

A study of card distributions of over 1300 hands at Witney Bridge Club has shown their quality is much improved by a simple and rapid procedure.
The cards in each slot of the duplicate boards be very lightly mixed at the end of an evening's play. One card is turned face up to show this has been done.
The cards are then dealt as usual at the beginning of the next session.
These results confirm the conclusions of an earlier extensive study at Abingdon Bridge Club and show that the card-mixing procedure could provide clubs with an effective and very simple means of dealing more interesting hands .With permission from Abingdon Bridge Club http://www.ckbridge.freeserve.co.uk/
